Two Hats Off To The Royal Mail Hotel
Awarded Two Chef Hats by the Age Good Food Guide 2015/2016, the Royal Mail Hotel is one to set a special weekend aside for an escape to nature. woman with drive experienced the phenomenal nature-based cuisine focused on quality locally sourced produce. Here is what to indulge in for a wonderful stay and ultimate foodie experience:
EIGHT COURSE CHEF’S TASTING MENU
A five course tasting menu and a la carte options are available as dinner options but woman with drive recommends the signature eight course chef’s tasting menu, with matched wines which is served every evening. Each course is tastefully curated and beautifully presented with a range of interesting flavours that are just a delight to your palette. Dessert is also splendid (we don’t want to spoil the surprise!) and truly offers a fun one-of-a-kind experience in itself.
KITCHEN GARDEN TOUR
With the kitchen overseen by executive Chef Robin Wickens, Robin and his team of chefs harvest produce that inspires each day’s menu from the extensive organic kitchen garden. A short drive from the hotel and restaurant is the Kitchen Garden with incredible views of The Grampians National Park. Tours are held by the Royal Mail Hotel’s chefs on a daily basis and really give an insight into the organic practices and how the daily harvest influences the menu. You will be able to see, feel and taste first-hand organic heirloom vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, fruit and nuts.
