Double Duty Fashion
A versatile wardrobe is not just one with great style combinations but one that also holds double duty clothing. A classic trench transforms into a chic crop jacket. A silk blouse is worn with or minus its collar.
Our busier life requires convertible clothes especially if we are constantly on the move. Outfits that look different between day and night, and that can go unnoticed when worn more than once make for lighter baggage and better time management.
Russian tennis star, Maria Sharapova, is one of the many fans of double duty clothing. When asked in an exclusive interview to name her favourite piece, she replied, “It is hard for a girl to choose because we have a lot of items that we travel with.”
She added however that she always travels with a large scarf that can double up as a blanket.
“I am always cold when I travel,” she said. “When I moved to Florida, I was always inside big facilities with air-conditioning so I was always trying to be cosy.”
