5 Products That Actually Work
Imagine not having to sift through every item in the cosmetics department, but just be presented with the products that actually work. The beauty world makes us a lot of appealing promises that are often underperforming, upsetting and costly. We asked our make-up guru, Sophia Pafitis to hand pick some of her favourite swear-by products from a range of beauty disciplines. Here are her top five picks.
“From one Porsche woman to another. I won’t start each product description with AH-MA-ZING, but trust that it’s what I’m thinking.” Sophia
Living Proof Prime Style Extender
New to the Australian market, Living Proof Prime Style Extender does what it says – extends your hairstyle two-times longer, reducing the need to style between shampoos. It also improves the texture of the hair by eliminating frizz and smoothing from root to end. It can be used on its own or as a base primer to other styling products. It’s a weightless product, so don’t be afraid to layer.
If you’d like to wash your hair less than every second day but find yourself waking up in the morning with a style that can’t be saved, this product is for you. If you already wash your hair every second day, you’ll be tempted to go a third or even fourth. It’s super easy to use – apply generously through damp hair, coating hair from roots to ends. Comb through and style as usual.
Clarisonic Mia 2
The #1 cleansing brush recommended by leading dermatologists, the Clarisonic Mia 2 is an investment in skin care and will leave you wondering how you ever manually cleansed your face.
Performing six-times better than cleansing with hands alone, the Clarisonic delivers a softer, smoother, more radiant complexion. It loosens dirt and oil, removing deep-seated impurities from pores allowing skin to better absorb topical treatments. It aids skin concerns such as imperfections, lack of clarity, oil and shine, enlarged pores, fragile or sensitive skin and aging. Your skin will be its cleanest and look polished.
GlamGlow mud mask
Don’t be fooled by the glitzy-glam packaging, the product inside is a vegan miracle, appropriate for all skin types and any gender.
Major beauty award winner GlamGlow Mud Mask delivers instantly gratifying results that extend into days of that happy-skin glow. Designed as a 10-minute professional ‘facial in a jar’ for behind-the-scenes use in Hollywood’s red carpet events, it delivers immediately refined, glowing skin. I can’t use the term ‘glowing’ enough in this description.
Good Genes Sunday Riley
Good Genes is a super active, high performing treatment that makes you appear blessed with the skin of ‘good genes’.
It plumps fine-lines, reveals brighter, newer skin, and increases circulation for instant radiance. You’ll notice a smooth, even-toned, vibrant complexion after a few applications. Long-term use has helped restore damaged skin like hyperpigmentation and acne scaring. It increases the firmness and thickness of the skin whilst reducing the depth and number of lines and wrinkles.
Apply daily like you would a serum, before bed or before make up. It can also be used as a mask.
